Inexcusable By Chris Lynch(up to 30)

Keir, a highschool boy just getting by high school and a pretty good football player gets into a big prediciment. Only being the field goal kicker for the high school kicker was fine for Keir until he was asked to play a while at cornerback. After only a little while in the game, he makes a huge hit on an opposing player. with that player not getting up. Suddenly, he became a short time hero and receiving many scholarship offers for college, his dreams, But, investigations about the hit go in but nothing serious, suddenly his girlfriend, Gigi gets mad at him and says she will never forgive him for something. It is a mystery to all. Keir goes from nobody to everybody in seconds, and barely knows how to handle it. From used to hang out with his dad on weekends to having a steady girlfriend, it is troubling Keir. We will have to see how this situation turns out and how the college process works. Hopefully it ends up as Keir gets into a great college and keeps his girlfriend, but we will see.

Born to Rock(Rest of the book)

As Leo is adjusting to the punk life and the life of a roadie, and getting to know King Maggot a lot better, he has trouble getting a long with the manager, King maggot's brother, Bernie, who always torments him. Towards the middle of the tour, Leo finds out some terrible news. King Maggot is not his father, but Bernie is. Leo takes the news terribly and tries to run away, he quits the tour but ends up spending time with Melinda, who is at the concerts with Owen to see them. After a while on tour with Melinda, and even after The King confronts him and leo rejoins the band, the band breaks up because the members of Purge are getting tired of the band, along with a few other issues. Leo goes back home, this without telling The King that he is truly not his father. After being at home, for a while, King Maggot comes to Leo's town and ends up paying his tuition for college, knowing he is not his father. This was a great book, and i could barely put it down at some points. On the surface it seems like a book about just a boy trying to fing away to get into college, but it is truly about the steps people take when they truly care about someone.

Born To Rock(up to 130)

Leo is a senior in high school just enjoying senior year will his already plans for college, Harvard. But, after a minor accidental cheating incident, Leo gets his scholarship taken away and must find the money as quick as possible. Leo is also a die hard republican and best friends with Melinda. She is a goth in love with punk rock and the band purge. Anyways, Leo one day finds out his biological father is King Maggot, the lead singer of the famous band Purge who is doing a final tour of their music. After finally meeting him after all these years, Leo decides to go on tour with Mcmurphy(aka King Maggot) in the hope that after meet and talk, he is bound to give Leo the money for college because he is rich. We are yet to see how the tour turns out, how he is treated and if he gets the money, but this goes to show how one dumb mistake can actually ruin someones life, and it also shows the step some people take to acheive there. Overall, this book is great so far and hope it stays this way, being very interesting.

The rest of Glass castle

After getting sick of the abuse and craziness of their parents, Lori and Jeanette decide they both want to move to New york after high school and get out of Welch as quick as possible. Realizing that this wont be easy, they both work after school for almost 9 months and collect the sufficient money to go to New york and rent an apartment, but to their dismay, it was stolen by who other then there dad. After a few days of suffereing, they decided to try again and use a different hiding spot. They both eventually made their way to New york and started their seperate lives. Jeanette went to college while Lori got a job. After a while of that, Brian, there younger brother moved there and found a job as well. Everyone was happy and enjying there lives until their parents moved to New York themselves. After living with Lori for a few months, they were kiked out, and with no money, homeless. After going down that road, they became squatters, or people living in abandoned houses for no pay. Everything was swell until one day the dad died of TB. This devastated the children and the family was no longer the same. They didn't meet every so often anymore, and they split apart. In the end, Jeanette got married and lived outside of New york city in a subarb and worked for a newspaper company. Her life turned out great afterall. Although she wanted to away from her parnets so bad as a young adult, there was always a part of her that loved her parents and wanted to be with them, which is why she was so hurt when her dad died.

Glass Castle(up to 210)

As parents Rex and rose continue to be disfunctional and not put food on the table, Jeanette becomes more responsible and starts doing things on her own as she is now in 7th grade. Rex and Rose continue to do weird things such as leave for long periods of time. Also, living in Welch, West Virgina, Jeanette begins to fight other kids in the neighborhood instead of make friends with them. Now, it seems even the kids are getting annoyed by the parents, being the first time this has ever happeend in the book. I think the kids are starting to realize how crazy there parents are and how they do not live a regular life. Also, they are going into there parents foot steps in the sense that they are fighting and doing things that they usually don't do. This shows just how bad of an influence parents can have on kids. I suspect a big event coming in the last part of this book. It seems the kids are getting sick of there life and want a change, but we will see what is to come.

Glass castle (up to 150)

As Jeanette's family continues to be irresponsible and flat out crazy, there is a bright spot in the road. After moving from a town in which a boy raped Jeanette and the kids almost killed the kid, Billy, the family moves to Phoenix and takes there dead Aunts house. Things are seemingly going better. For one, it seems like Rex has a stable job as an electrician, and is bringing in sufficient money to the family, and the mom is progressing with her art. Plus, the kids even receive bikes to go to their new school on in which they love. Everything is going better for this still disfunctional family for a while. But, after rex loses his job, the family begins to breakdown as Rex comes back drunk many nights and does things he probably regrets such as throw expensive things and hurt his kids. All in all, the so-called progress was a fluke in my opinion and this family will go back to doing the same things they have done all book such as move very often and not give there kids food from time to time and leave young kids along to wonder. We will see what is to come, but I predict a big bad moment coming up soon that becomes a serious issue.

Glass Castle(up to 75)

One of the main themes in the book so far is the parents being very unorthodox in there parenting styles, meaning they do things and beleive things that are much different from most normal parents. For example, the Walls family moves on an average of every few weeks, sometimes more and sometimes less, and Rex Walls, the father, is always hunting for different jobs even though he is a smart guy. Another example is that they do not use toothpaste. Also, when they were in the car, they threw the cat out the window because it was being annoying and drove off. One crazy thing this difunctional family did was push Jeannette out of the car and not even come to get for an hour. Crazy right?? Also, one irresponsible thing the parents do is keep all there money in a glass jar and not put it in the bank. After reading a part of this book, I wonder what her future is going to be like as a teeneager and an adult. Growing up with such irresponsible parents can really have an effect on the child in the long run and make her do some of the same things the parents do which would be terrible. I just hope her life turns out o.k because she is really being terribly influenced as only a small child.
